Where I work ,at JLR Halewood, we currently work a four day week, having every Friday off work.
As Christmas Day falls on a Friday this year, we are entitled to a day in lieu. The common sense solution would have been to tag it on to our Christmas holidays.
This common sense approach seems too hard for the JLR management team to take in,so they have given us today off instead.
So there you have it- according to JLR management, today is Christmas Day!
